| Accommodations are in very clean, comfortable, private and semi-private rooms and dormitories with separate men's and women's bathrooms, as well as one suite with a private bathroom. Our accommodations have all been recently refurbished, and are rustic but modern with beautiful views of forest and mountains. Many of our native wildlife may greet you outside your bedroom window. We can accommodate up to 85 people per night (more for day-only events). Our rooms are heated in winter, and cool and airy in summer.
The dining room seats 100 people at small friendly tables, and additional outdoor dining areas are also available. Our kitchen staff serve homemade vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals drawing on local, Asian and Mediterranean culinary traditions. You can also choose to make your event self-catering.
Telephone, fax and office services are available at the registration office. Computers and wireless internet access are available in several areas. Anything more than basic web and email access should be arranged ahead of time. We have a conference room (1125 sq. ft.) with floor space for open or table seating, a sound system and recording equipment, and two smaller meeting rooms. There are also several outdoor meeting areas for a more natural setting. All guests are welcome to make use of the meditation room, which also has a small library. The center also offers a wide range of general, fiction and special interest books and magazines for guests to borrow during their stay. Our Lotus Light gift store offers books and high-quality Asian arts and crafts, with items to suit everyone's budget and preferences. Our staff is committed to providing excellent service, and work hard to meet your needs and requests, allowing you to make the most of your time at the Black Mountain Preserve.
