We have 485 acres of redwood, pine and oak forest, including old-growth areas, for you to explore -- or you can just
relax with a good book on the patio area and listen to the
wild song birds and meditate. There is a small but
well-stocked library with various books and magazines, and visitors are also always welcome to make use of the dedicated shrine-room space for meditation or quiet study. Picnic and rest areas provide excellent
opportunities to pause and reflect upon this pristine environment, and enjoy the local wildlife.
Deer stroll through the camp area and rabbits and racoons are also frequent visitors. Native wildflowers flourish everywhere in early spring and summer.

If you want more activity, there are hiking areas with spectacular
vistas of ocean and mountains, looking over to Bodega Head and Point Reyes. Tucked away in the woods you can find small river falls where you can take a dip in crystal-clear water. We are in the middle of Russian Gulch, which drains into
nearby Russian Beach and also very close to Fort Ross State
Park, Bodega Bay and Jenner. All of these offer extra opportunities
for hiking, beach walking or exploring historical places
of California's heritage. Wine enthusiasts can easily reach the famous vineyards of Sonoma and Napa valleys, with prime sites between 30 minutes and three hours away -- ask us for more information.
